The Giampaolo Group

GEEP is privately held by the Giampaolo Group of Companies, North America’s principal fully integrated metal management company.

The group includes complementary businesses featuring Triple M Metal, one of the largest ferrous and non-ferrous metals recycling operations in Canada; Venture Steel, a steel service business and Matalco, Canada’s largest aluminum re-melt operation.


Triple M Metal was established over 40 years ago by Mike Giampaolo who continues to serve as Chairman and is the principal shareholder of Triple M Metal LP. From very modest beginnings, Triple M Metal has grown to be Canada’s leading metal recycling company with operations in Canada, the United States, Mexico, and Europe. The company acquires scrap from a variety of sources, including its network of public scrap recycling yards, processes and markets the material worldwide.


Matalco Inc. is a leading producer of 6000 series extrusion grade aluminum billet manufactured primarily from scrap aluminum. Matalco has two plants strategically located in Brampton, Ontario and Canton, Ohio to serve its North American customers, with a combined annual capacity to produce 320 million lbs of prime quality billet for sale to the extrusion industry.


Venture Steel is a growth oriented processor and distributor of metal with a distinct focus on flat rolled steel products. Venture Steel operates four processing facilities in North America where they supply carbon steel as well as stainless and aluminum to the automotive, construction, general manufacturing and commercial markets.
