GEEP Costa Rica selected by Ministry of Health for Approved Electronic Waste Processor Status
Monday, March 05, 2012

Tejar, Cartago, Costa Rica – March 2012 – GEEP is pleased to announce that its facility in Costa Rica has become one of the first ever Approved Electronic Waste Processors. This approval process was managed by the Ministry of Health.

GEEP Costa Rica has demonstrated superior leadership in the Latin American market and is now approved to operate under legislation in Costa Rica. Under current legislation, all companies and collection points in Costa Rica must send their electronic waste to an approved processor. Only approved processors may legally ship e-waste commodities to their approved downstreams. In addition, legal demanufacturing of e-waste is exclusive to approved processors. This certification solidifies GEEP’s global footprint and assures our customers that we can offer the quality of service that they expect, across the globe.
